Executives

Board and Committee involvement requires dedication and commitment to quality work above and beyond event participation. The quality of participation directly impacts our programs.

Athlete Volunteers

Family Volunteer Deposit Policy

To help keep costs down and aid in the club’s fundraising, families are charged a volunteer deposit for participation in GTSSF programs. This deposit is fully refunded upon completion of the requirements outlined below.

Standard Athlete

  • 6 volunteer hours per child.
  • 12 volunteer hours per family (for families with multiple athletes).

Scholarship Athlete

  • 8 volunteer hours per child.
  • 16 volunteer hours per family (for families with multiple athletes).
  • Excludes automatic competition fee scholarships (e.g., Waterloo or Rich Beesley).

Cross Country REC

Volunteer as a parent helper at practice:

  • Once per child for the 1-day-a-week program.
  • Twice per child for the 2-day-a-week option.

Refund Timeline & Options

Refunds are processed at the end of the winter season (late April). Families who complete their required hours will receive a full refund back to the card used during registration.

Alternative: You may choose to directly donate your volunteer deposit to GTSSF instead of working the hours.

Important Notice

GTSSF does not provide any partial refunds for partial completion of volunteer requirements.
